We are a fan club dedicated to one of the most underrated games of all time from the popular Megaman franchdise from Capcom: Megaman Legends.

While the games were critically bashed for their transition from the popular 2D style used in videogames of the snes console to the 3D overhaul that came within the new consoles, the games themselves are filled to the brim with an enchanting story, rich characters and a beautiful world that still managed to captivate thousands of gamers around the globe.

This is a fanclub dedicated specially to the Megaman Legends universe, it's characters, and the mysterious lore that surrounds it's world.

Hello this is Megaman Legends Fangame Scene, a column about delicious community-related projects regarding our favorite game series, Megaman Legends!

Megaman Legends is a game that unites us in this club (duh), and with the recent disappointment by capcom and tragic death of megaman, many wonder what will happen with the future of this series.

Well, as you may or may not know, many franchises shine more than others when it comes to the fanbase, and i've always been glad to see that the Megaman Legends Fanbase is not an ugly sort of fanbase. Whereas some franchises have unfortunate fanbases that make people cringe, and give their titles a bad name, the Megaman Legends fanbase has always been composed of handsome, talented individuals with good taste for videogames, and we as a community are not short of people willing to extend the lore of our beloved Megaman Legends series be it by artwork, writing, or sometimes, GAMES.

It is said that Capcom completely abandoned Megaman, but the fans haven't, and proof of that is "Tuttle's Legendary Travels", a fangame in production (IN BOMBASTIC 3D, JUST LIKE THE ORIGINAL MML BUT BETTER) made by the talents known as Fab and Blyka, based on the megaman legends character Tuttle, who many of us know thanks to The Misadventures of Tronn Bonne.

Who is this Tuttle anyway?

A great explanation can be found along with pictures at The Legends Station:
"Among the weird people found in the Shala-kun caves, he is probably the weirdest of all.

Tuttle can be found at various points throughout the ruins, usually standing around pondering a problem. His strange, almost eerie laugh echoes throughout the caves, and occasionally you can find him swinging his cane--at what is anyone's guess. Incidentally, he can't swim."
So, what's the game about?

I'll just copy-paste the introduction found at the game's website because it's just that great:
"Tuttle's Legendary Travels is an epic adventure spanning five original islands set in the world of Mega Man Legends. When Tuttle overhears the plans of air pirates about to depart on a mission that promises great adventure and treasure, he takes off in pursuit to seek the adventure and treasure for himself.

Tuttle will explore grand ruins and an expansive overworld, battle with monstrous reaverbots and villainous air pirates, collect a variety of items and precious artifacts, and interact with an unforgettable cast as he unravels the many mysteries of the Quint Islands!"
But wait! Hold on your trousers before they are inevitably blown away! There's more!

Remember the Megaman Legends 3 project? Remember how the developers had a devroom open for everyone to see the progress of the project, and how they were so nice to allow people to drop ideas, and held events that were to be featured in-game? Remember how Megaman Legends 3 was aiming to be a game made by collaborations between Megaman Legends fans?

This project is almost identical.

The guys have a development blog where they keep track of everything they've been making, they have gorgeous, finished 3D models available for looking and playing with on their 3D model viewer, they have a gallery of artwork, and preview screens and even project videos! Andbest thing of all? They hold free-for-all community events that you can participate on with little to no effort and the winners get their ideas brought to life in-game!

If there is a fan-project related to Megaman Legends that you should have faith in, THIS ONE IS!

They already hosted their first event and the second one is in progress, and you can participate without even having to make an account or register, it's awesome! Just to sell you more on this, you know what the current event is about? proposing funny faces for balloons. That's right, remember the "Balloon Fantasy" minigame in Megaman Legends 1? Tuttle's Legendary Travels is going to bring it back for all of us to enjoy, and it's your chance to put a funny face on the balloons Tuttle will strike down! (More details about this event here. Again, you don't even need to register to the forum because guests can post freely while the event is on-going, so there is seriously no excuse not to participate, it's easy and should take you a couple of minutes to participate, and by doing so you'll be helping out Megaman Legends projects like this to stay afloat and ripe with community-created content).

Holy crap this is awesome! How do i participate?

Check the project's website here

Please support the megaman legends community and help out by participating on the events, let's show everyone what we, as fans of this series, can do!

Say, is this group still going?

Oh. I actually remembered. I was thinking about maybe trying to write a story of Legends, but not 100% sure on it. Would I be allowed to join if I did that?

:iconpatt-ytto:
Of course. You can join even if you don't submit anything. :)

Ah. Say, instead of trying to petition a new Megaman Legends game, why not petition for Archie to work on Legends?

You should pitch that idea to 100000 strong
